Is it wrong to want an iPhone based solely on these?

Don't get me wrong, I've played with my friends' iPhones and they're alright. I just wish it was on T-Mobile and not AT&T. I've been a T-Mo customer for about 7-8 years now and am happy with the service. Plus their data plans are the best in my opinion. Another problem I have with the iPhone is the touch-screen keyboard. Not feeling it. Lots of spelling mistakes, etc. Plus, I don't really know if I'd like to be that connected all the time.

That said, Uncommon is a semi-new (at least to me) site that sells capsule cases for the iPhone & iPod Touch that are designed by artists. At $40 a pop it's a little steep to have an entire wardrobe of iPhone cases but here are some of my favorites:

Wowowow

I discovered Grain Edit, a design blog, a while ago. A great source of inspiration, ideas and designers! From there I happened upon this blog, stickers and stuff, full of great images from children's books both new and old, as well as posters, signs, photography and other things in print.

First of all, pigs are awesome. Secondly, I love this kind of typography, where the letters form the object. I just do.

Another site I found on GE belongs to Adrian Johnson, an artist from the UK. His artwork is reminiscent of old 70s cartoons and his colors are vibrant and bright. He has done a lot of advertising work, as well as t-shirt designs for 2K by Gingham. An immediate favorite:

I love font

Love this set of typeface coasters by acd, available at SupermarketHQ. Lasercut wood, in Baskerville Semibold. Currently they are sold out but these babies are $25 for a set of 4. Got my eye on these!

Glass Menagerie

Pre-shopping online at Moss, where I hope to get house stuff tomorrow. I doubt these will be included in the warehouse sale but I love:

Two types of glass fused together (hence the different colors) Tapio Wirrkala 1968, $7380.00 kiss my ass! I love the look of these though, and they'd go with our apartment. On the hunt for something similar, in a much lesser price range please.


Angelo Mangiarotti 1985, $510.00 - I love these wine glasses. They're simple yet unlike anything I've seen before.


Stacking bowls - Michael Kramer, 2000, $250.00 - and continuing with my recent fascination with glass - these are pretty just stacked together as is. It'll be hard separating them. As if.

I used to think that when I got my own place I'd fashion it to look a little something like Willy Wonka's factory...however I'm finally realizing that it's not very grown & sexy. Not that I am either but at least my apartment can be.
